Day10
Conversation
I agree that some people worry too much about things. Usually the things which makes people worry like a depressed lunatic are the aspects of life like studies, jobs, and financial management. Maybe the doubts they have like if they will have enough money to support life for the next month, whether one will be able to pass their examinations, whether one will pass the job interview. And the ultimate reason why people worry so much in life is that they lack the confidence. Their eyes are so tuned to the negative effects and consequences of how an outcome would be, that they are so afraid that things will go wrong. Since they lack the confidence, how can they achieve what they want when they have not even overcome themselves- their mindset? How can one who say he or she will not succeed and only thinks of how bad things will turn out, be able to succeed at all? I personally feel that no one should put stress on him or herself but trust that "tomorrow will be a better day". Why worry when the future has yet to come? It is senseless and a bad way to stress one up.
However, the kind of worry for a loved one is different. The worry comes from the heart and not the mind. It is out of care and love.
Day8
Picture Discussion
This is a picture at a kindergarten, showing an interactive activity being held at the backyard. It is a time where the children get to let down their hair for an enjoyable time like this. The teacher is involved too, and everyone looks like they are having lots of fun and laughters. This can be seen from the smiles on their faces. Having fun through physical interactions is essential for a child's holistic development, especially to build up their social confidence and mentality. The atmosphere is light and everyone, including the teachers, have put aside all worries and anxiety and just let loose of themselves for the smiles gained. The innocence of the children is clearly depicted here. At the end of this activity, the students will return to their classrooms, no matter how reluctant their little minds are. And all the fun will be channeled away to make way for studies. This enjoyable time with their fellow classmates will eventually be shelved as memories where when they grow up, their mature minds will miss these carefree days.

Conversation
I would like to run a farm one day when I grow up. Maybe as part time job with a helper or two.
I will have to study agriculture for a better understanding of the crops, weather and soil. Also, owning a farm means I will have to earn enough money to get myself a plot of good land. I would like to set up one which grows many crops varying from wheat to potato to bananas. Also, a little puppy and a horse to keep me company with its little life. I would like it to be situated in a plain but not found in a desolated area. Then, I will be able to start shipping crops and even feed myself with the harvest. I want to do this business because I think it will be fun with the hands-on activities, and you get to do something practical and enjoyable to earn food on your table. This is so much a better way to earn money then doing office jobs which I find dull and mundane. Also, I'll get to enjoy the peace and serenity in my green and neat farm, and lead a somewhat simple life without the politics you face in this competitive society. I'll be able to work at my own pace without having a deadline or anyone rushing me. Then, there will be personal time available in between. The difficulties I might face while running such a businesss would be that I might face the problem of rats and grasshopper being enticed to the crops. Also, I will have to be on a constant look out for any ill plant or the most suitable pesticide to use.
Day6
Picture discussion:
This picture shows a sports event being held in a stadium. Noticing the sparse number of people present, this event is probably an inter school match. In the foreground, the three girls in school uniform are likely there to support their desired team in the competition. They are seen clapping and cheering for their supporting team. One of the girl on the further end is seen bending her knees with hair flying in a mess, most likely she is leaping for joy. I feel that these supporters are proud of their supporting team, and is really enthusiastic and excited about how the game is going. The game going on must be one close competition with many wonderful displays of topnotch skills.

Conversation:
Yes, I think that everyone can learn to be good at sports. Firstly, one has to develop a strong passion for sports. With passion and determination, nothing can deter one from being in a better athlete at the specific sport. Even though different people come from different backgrounds, whereby some may be richer than the others, it still will not pose as a limiting factor to anyone who wants to be good at a certain sport. For example, a poor lad may be inspired to be a sportsman when he grows up. Though having more money would aid in one's pursue for sports, the poor lad can still find other ways to get what he wants. He will find ways through all the difficulties to get opportunities to learn and train himself at the sport. Therefore, the reason why some people are better at sport than other people is mainly focused on the ultimate Passion and Hard work with strong determination. This is because however talented a person may be at birth, he or she may think highly of themselves and let their talent rust. Sports is all about practice. Hence without much practise, the talented lad will lose his or her skills, or eventually be lost to another sportsman who had trained hard and became more skillful then the latter.
However, men have a heartbeat rate which is 1.5times more than women. Hence, with the higher metabolic rate, they are much more efficient in physical wise and thus has an obvious upper hand against women. Since sports is all about discipline and bettering one self, it is unfair to say that men are better at sports than women.

Day4
Picture Discussion:
This is a picture showing a disabled man trying to ascend an inclined metal plank with the help of two men. The man offering help with the outstretched hand must be the bus driver. The people in the top background are likely volunteers from welfare organizations as the girls are wearing t-shirts with the same logo. At the extreme top left hand corner, looking at the girl's furrowed expression, it is obvious that the helpers are worried about the safety and progress of the disabled man. Seeing the girl behind the man carrying a goodie bag, most likely the youths are embarking on a community involvement project where they are supposed to bring a number of people with disabilities for a day trip so as to show them the world by pushing their disabilities to the limits with challenges for them to overcome. The malay man and woman in the centre top portion of the picture is most probably the supervisor from the Centre where the physically impaired patients get activities and consultations there. The young lady, also in a wheelchair, behind the disabled man, looks elated. I think that she is having a good time outdoors and is thankful to the organisers and volunteers for their care and help towards them, so that they do not feel stereotyped or left out by the society.

Conversation:
I once went to Pulau Ubin with my schoolmates during the Sec2 adventure camp. On the second day, we went to a shallow river for river cascading activity. Although the water was rather milky in color, deeping yourself in the river water was sensational. The cooling water cleared our minds and freshened up our bodies. Once in the river, no one wanted to budge but just to stay still and relax the breeze gushing past our face and just the stream flowing lightly against our bodies. I felt really chilled and hoped that I could have my baths in there. The natural beauty of the place got me awestruck as it was really a physical environment which we hardly experience in the largely human environment developed Singapore. Vines of the trees were hanging loosely from top, the canopy blocking out almost half of the sunlight. Laid back, looking up at the clear blue sky. The serenity is one which you can hardly find in Singapore hence, I recommend this awesome place to anyone who wants some peace to sort out any thoughts. ;)
Day 2
Picture discussion:
This is a picture of a few young women gathering together to practise their hair cutting skills on models. I can see the women holding a pair of scissors all actively and focused on trimming the model's hair to a certain hairstyle. They are dressed rather casually hence this hairstyling practice session must be one where they are doing training for an actual test. Hairstyling must be their passion as I can see a few of the girls displaying smiles on their faces when they are doing up the model's hair. These women must be trainees under the profession. I think that this is a good activity to prepare themselves for the upcoming test as their aspiration as a hairstylist. This is because, practise makes perfect. When they have to work on a real customer's hair, they will be prepared and skilled so that they will not make the same mistakes as before on the model. This is as once a person's hair is cut off, it is hard for the barber to trim it and he or she can forget about attaching the hair back as it is an irreversible process. Hence the practice they are doing will ensure that they make a good haircut for the customers and not cause any grief or regrets to the customers for having their hair done by the barber. Also, it can serve as a good leisure activity where people sharing the same passion gather to interact and learn from one another.

Conversation:
My favourite hairstyle is a simple and traditional single ponytail tied back. This is because it is the simplest way to get your hair done neatly in a few minutes time, as compared to that of plaits and buns. I personally feel that one should not waste too much time on his or her hairstyle, like how some girls spend up to an hour doing their hair with hair styling foam or wax. Also, going out with a ponytail hairstyle shows character and I think that it is quite cool looking as compared to that of plaits which are more girly-looking and femine. I feel that the hairstyle one should keep should serve the purpose of making the owner look neat and good looking, and also in Singapore, to clear any hair away from the neck as the climate is hot. Hairstyle should also not become a disturbance to daily activities like fringes blocking out the sight of the owner. I feel comfortable in the ponytail style as it is simple, nice and not troublesome keeping it. I go the barber only when it is rather long and growing to be disturbing and more hideous. I find that one should not place too much efforts and emphasis on hairstyles as it is just a part of the appearance and not the bona fide display of a person. What matters most is a person's attitude and character. Even a dull-dressed decent woman with good nature can be more attractive than one scantily dressed woman who speaks vulgarities.

There is a nebulous distinction between "moving on" and "letting go". People have disparate ideas- some take it as a growing process; others let it destroy them. By hanging on to nothing, it seem impossible to get on with life. Only realising what's gone is not retrievable after much self-delusion in grief.
I had been stubborn, and refused to listen. I believed that all is worth it, no regrets when I look back. Now, it's a maudlin story of the past kept in the heart for reminisce- the redolent of long-lost innocence... which is no longer extant.

The one important component of Mystery solving includes being unbelievably resourceful. You have to decipher between the truth and the hoax present before you. One should stay firm and not be affected by the emotions displayed. Only by evaluating all the evidence can we attest the likelihood of the truth.

After having uncovered the mystery, you have a reason to exult!

During today's charisma lesson, Miss Chia gave us a question to ponder about. It was our goals for the future. One boy said in a stentorian voice: "I aspire to be a Chemist!" The whole class immediately broke into laughter. The mischievous boy inveighed against the boy,"HAHA! You?! Chemist...? Fat hope man!" Miss Chia quietened us down and said it's good to dream big, but do work towards it. Personally, I prefer singular jobs which allows me to work my brain. The bell for recess rang. We then scurried out of the class to get our food.

Bright sunshine permeated the room. There, on the refrigerator, was stuck a cryptic note. I went forward to have a closer look and broke out in hysteric laughter. The note shows my puppy, Creep, signing off with a paw print. It is an incontrovertible fact that dogs can't write.
To find out who was the ridiculous joker, I importuned every single one of my family during dinner for the sake of fun and curiosity. My Grandfather said, "My dear, I still have my legs. How can I be that lame?" When all of them denied and looked totally clueless, it sent a chill down my spine.
Being incredulous about the mystery going on in the house, I ran to my puppy and shook Creep hard, 'It's not you who did it right! Say yes puppy, say yes!' I think I was insane to do so.

argumentative essay-:

Can one improve his/her English skills?

Most of us students would say that English is a Language- a subject which cannot be improved through lessons. But it's just a mindset we students have develop towards English, maybe as an excuse for ourselves? Actually if we're willing to, our English can be improved. But it takes a lot of time and practise to do so.

By making an effort to speak proper English in your daily life is one way to do so. Reading is of course another way where you can widen your range of vocabulary knowledge. Doing active reading instead of passive reading, one can highlight words providing important messages or go the extra mile to checkup on the words he or she is unfamiliar with.

English is fun and interesting only when you use a positive attitude to want learn it!

Those fond memories are just hard to be expunged. Yet each time I reminisce, I recoil as I've grown timorous from being hurt again. The diatribe they've launched at me just kept echoing at the back of my head. I couldn't get over it. Seeing them became anathema to me, though there's this stinging sensation inside which really hurts. They've made it clear that it is integral for us to go on separate ways. This dramatic ending which I've dread, alas came true.

It was the second week of Secondary 3 life. Most of us are rather settled down in our new classes. Yet the amount of workload we are inundated with are horrifying. The twentyfour-hours in a day just seem to elapse, leaving us with limited time to complete what we have to do. Most of us are probably drained out but I guess, we only can try cope and manage our time wisely. With those sporadic sleepless nights, I wonder how long our body can take all the stress accumulating in there.
A math lessons always leave us garbled with those algebraic expressions scribbled on the board, and that even the phlegmatic top student starts to panick with fear!
I am starting to miss those crazy fun times in lower secondary. I want my carefree schooling life back!
